Hi, my name is Carrie Rowley. I have been a resident of Elko Nevada for twenty-two plus years having moved from Twin Bridges Montana. I have been a full time cook at the hospital here for the past eighteen years. Before that, I worked at the nursing home. Throughout my cooking career I have held part-time jobs dealing mostly with animals. I worked at the pet store, Pet Paradise, when it was in the Rancho Plaza. There I cared and was resoponsible for many different kinds of animals. While working there, I became acquainted with Groomer, Karen Elam. Recognizing my love of animals, she took me in and trained me. I very much enjoy being around the larger breeds of dogs, having only small ones myself. Over the years it has become my specialty to bathe and groom the larger dog breeds. Being unable to ignore my Montana farm girl roots any longer I have given up my cooking career in favor of one to care for animals. The need for good, honest, in-home pet care has grown in Elko as Elko its self has grown. I wish to help fill that need.
